Terms of Use
The records are yours
Everything you enter belongs to you. This app stores it, totals it, and formats it. It makes no claim over your records and keeps no copy of them.
You are responsible for what you enter
The arithmetic is only as good as the figures behind it. Weights, costs, dates, and feed amounts are yours to enter correctly, and yours to check before a record book is turned in.
Figures that arrive prefilled — a show date, a weight rule from the directory — are a starting point. Each one shows when it was last checked. Confirm it with the show before you rely on it.
No professional advice
Nothing here is veterinary, medical, dosing, nutrition, legal, tax, accounting, or insurance advice. Weight warnings state the arithmetic and the gap in plain numbers; what to change about a feeding program is a decision for the exhibitor with their parent, leader, or vet.
The written work stays yours
The app supplies structure, prompts, and the frame of a business letter. It does not write project stories, reflections, goals, buyer letters, or thank-you letters, and it will not. Those are the parts a judge is grading, and they are the point of keeping the book.
Reports are a convenience, not a certification
A report is a formatted copy of what you entered. It is not certified by, approved by, or submitted on behalf of any fair, school, club, association, registry, or government program.
The county record books are laid out after each office’s own published edition, and are not produced or approved by that office. Editions change. Check with your leader before handing in printed pages — some books are required to be handwritten, and some offices will not take a printout at all.
Eligibility rules, deadlines, weigh-in requirements, and record-book formats are set by your own program and change without notice. Following them remains your responsibility.
The subscription
My Record Book Pro is a yearly subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation, and it renews automatically each year at the App Store price for your country unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current year ends.
A free first month is Apple’s, not ours — when it is offered and you take it, it turns into a paid year at the end of the month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before that. Nothing is charged during the free month.
Cancel or change it in Settings on your device: tap your name, then Subscriptions. Canceling stops the next charge and leaves Pro switched on until the year you have paid for runs out.
Refunds are Apple’s to give, not ours. Ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com — Settings is where a subscription is canceled, not refunded — and we cannot issue or reverse a charge ourselves, because we never see the payment.
Restore Purchases, on the Pro screen and in Settings, moves a subscription to a new phone signed in with the same Apple ID. A backup file never carries one.
What is free, and what Pro adds
Free, always: every record you enter and everything that records it — weights, feed, work, money, photographs, health and withdrawal records, milk and eggs, breeding, lessons and goals. Reading all of it. Backup and restore. Reminders. Contacts and the buyer tools. The show directory. Charts on screen. Up to two exhibitors, with one active animal each.
Pro adds a third exhibitor or more, more than one active animal for an exhibitor, the county record book, the detailed report and its text version, and spreadsheet (CSV) files.
Choosing which county book you keep is free, and so is seeing what it still needs. Making the finished book is Pro.
If your subscription ends
If a subscription ends, the app moves to the free version. Everything you have recorded stays on this phone, every exhibitor and animal already here stays fully usable, and you can go on logging weights, feed, work, money, health and photographs exactly as before.
What you lose is adding: a third exhibitor, or a second active animal for one exhibitor. And you lose making reports — the county record book, the detailed report and the spreadsheet files.
Reading, backup and restore, and health and withdrawal records are never behind the subscription, on any version and at any status. A lapsed subscription is never a locked app, and it never stops you recording the season you are in the middle of.
Your season’s work is not held to ransom. It is yours, the backup exists precisely so it stays that way, and it moves to another phone whether or not anybody has paid for anything.
No warranty
The app is provided as it is. Keep your own backup of anything you cannot afford to lose — a device can be lost or broken, and records held only on it are lost with it.
My Record Book is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by 4-H, the National FFA Organization, USDA, any fair, show, breed association, or school. Always follow the rules your own club, chapter, and show set.
