My Livestock Record Book

Legal

Privacy policy

This is the same wording shown inside the app, kept in one place so it can be checked against what the app actually does. A privacy policy that drifts from the software is worse than none, because it becomes a claim rather than a description.

In short

Everything you enter stays on this phone. There is no account to create, no server holding your records, no cloud sync, no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.

One thing does leave: the app downloads a public list of livestock shows so you can add one without typing it out. That request asks for the list and nothing else — no name, no location, no identifier, nothing about you or your animals.

What is stored, and where

Exhibitor details, animals, weights, feed, work sessions, photos and videos, expenses, income, shows, breeding records, and buyer contacts are all saved in a database on this device.

Only a name is required for an exhibitor. Date of birth, school, grade, and club are there because record books ask for them, and every one of them is optional.

What leaves the device

The show directory. The app fetches a published list of livestock shows over a secure connection. It is a plain download — nothing about you, your animals, or where you are is included in the request.

Anything you deliberately share. Exporting a record book, sharing an animal summary, or sending a photo hands that file to whichever app you pick, and from that point it is outside this app.

Nothing else. No usage data, no crash reports, no contact lists, no location.

Buyer contacts

Names, phone numbers, email addresses, and postal addresses you record for buyers are other people’s details. They stay on this device and are never uploaded, but they are still someone else’s information — worth keeping in mind before handing the phone around or exporting a record.

Tapping a phone number or email address opens your own Phone or Mail app. This app does not place the call or send the message.

Photos and videos

Media you attach stays on the device with the rest of your records. The app asks for camera and photo access only when you first attach something, and it reads nothing from your library on its own.

Reminders

Weigh-in and follow-up reminders are scheduled by your phone and shown by your phone. No reminder is sent through a server, and none of them contain anything beyond what you already entered.

Children and families

The app is built for a household to use together and has no accounts, no logins, and no way for anyone to contact a child through it. There is no messaging, no public profile, no feed, and no way for one family’s records to be seen by another.

Because nothing is collected or transmitted, there is nothing for a parent to request or delete from a server. Removing the app, or using Clear all local data in Settings, removes the records.

Deleting your records

Clear all local data in Settings erases every record on the device. Deleting the app does the same. Neither can be undone, and neither reaches an export or a share you already sent elsewhere.

Getting in touch

Questions about any of this go through the support page. Because nothing is collected or transmitted, there is nothing held on a server for anyone to request, correct or delete.
